We stayed in the Tarpon Cottage. Its was outstanding! We had our own dock and sat out on the chairs on the dock and waved to everyone. Just had a blast. The beds were comfortable, ac worked great and was quiet. Had a full kitchen. They thought of everything. Service from everyone there was incredibly over the top. Mark the restaurant manager came in the golf cart and picked us up for dinner. Debbie and Marcie waited on us and they were wonderful. Josh made us some great drinks and even the security guard went above and beyond. Just nice people and a great location. Will definitely go back.

We chartered a boat ride from Captain Jack (great guy) and made a stop at Cabbage Key for drinks and appetizers. They made my Mom’s 87th B-Day very special and surprised her with their famous key lime pie dessert decorated with Happy 87th Birthday…which brought tears to her eyes! Thanks for making our stop there a FUN and memorable one…we will be back to get her dollar bill (which was taped to their walls with many other dollar bills). The staff, the smoked salmon and shrimp appetizers, and the atmosphere were awesome! And the boat ride to Cabbage Key by Captain Jack was amazing!

My friend and I traveled by boat to the Cabbage Key Restaurant for lunch several days ago for the second time in the past month. The setting is gorgeous and may well include observation of the indigenous gopher tortoise. One may also climb up the observation tower look for a long look around Port Charlotte Harbor. It is a beautiful scene! We experienced excellent food and superb service from Rebecca! She was our waitress both times and was friendly, efficient and stopped by more than once to see if we needed anything. Is this where Cheese Burger in Paradise references? That’s the rumor so of course I bought the cheese burger hat! Would I return? Would I recommend The Cabbage Key Restaurant to a friend or interested travelers? Of course! You won’t regret it. It’s old Florida at its best. And… Check out the hats!

Beautiful island destination. Excellent dockage. Restaurant is exceptional with a great wait staff. We had lunch and ordered the shrimp salad, and I had the triple tail over rice and beans. This chef knows how to cook fish! Our waitress, MARCIE, was fantastic! she made us feel welcomed and hoped that we would come back.

Awesome place! Must go if visiting. Cool you can only visit via water. Rent a boat, it’s more fun to do it yourself. Marcie, our waitress was great!
Best spot and one of main highlights on our visit to Sanibel. Cool gift shop, cool shirts some kids sizes too.
If you take a small boat, careful of otters while docked. We watched one climb into a boat and open the cooler while it was docked.

What a wonderful little getaway for our 25th wedding anniversary. We stayed three nights in a room at the Inn. From making the reservations to departing the island, the service was fantastic! The entire staff was so friendly and helpful. We rented a skiff on two of the days to go over the Cayo Costa island. The staff provided us verbal directions as well as a map, an umbrella for the beach and ice for our cooler. On the day of our anniversary, upon returning from our daytrip, we returned to our room to find a bottle of champagne on ice, two glasses and an anniversary card from the staff. Wow, what a nice surprise! We can’t say enough good things about our stay. The staff is awesome!

This place is a quant Nature Paradise. My wife and son stayed the night to ditch the weather chasing us from stern. It was better than I expected. The staff was very friendy, helpful, and genuine. We were a little early for dinner so we had drinks and a grilled cheese sandwich for my son. We went to our cottage, let me say the cottage felt like I was in a place I could stay for weeks to just unwind and become creative. We went to dinner, and the dining room is a window view of what seemed like a rainforest. I asked the chief to make my Grouper with a New Orleans flair, he successfully took my taste buds to Burbon street. I would recommend #Cabage Key to anyone that likes Southern charm and hopitality.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a romantic, secluded getaway from the hustle and bustle—this was perfect. We loved every minute of the trip, and reading about the history of the island added so much to our stay!
We loved the trails and collecting seashells to add to the collection at the Dollhouse Cabin. It was one of our best times together, and we can’t wait to go back!
