What a beautiful walking island off the beaten path. We had lunch at the Cabbage Key Restaurant and had to have the popular cheeseburger and potato salad. The burger was fresh, thick, hot and juicy. The potato salad is made from scratch with an excellent flavor. The decor is covered by signed dollar bills, dating back decades if not a century. Fun atmosphere, nice walking trails around the restaurant. Don’t miss the old water tower behind the building, offers a great birds eye view for photos. A must see when in Fort Myers area.

We can’t say enough about our lunch experience at the cabbage key inn. First was a great boat trip over to cabbage key from captiva. Once on the island, we were greeted by Michelle, she brought us up the hill in a golf cart. Michelle was very sweet, we hope one day to see her in Texas. The food was great, cheeseburgers are delicious (in paradise) . My mahi mahi was delish, my husband enjoyed a Ruben. Our servers were Andrew and Carey, we received wonderful service.

Enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the Historic Cabbage Key Inn! Our server Kelly was excellent, attentive and very professional. The herb-encrusted entree was incredible! Kelly also served our breakfast the next morning and the hotcakes were delicious! We look forward to returning soon!

We have been going to Cabbage Key restaurant and bar for many years. We have not been in probably 3+ years. We were so pleasantly surprised for their new menu. The atmosphere and docking has always been good but the food was limited and average. This trip we experienced a diverse new menu! All the new choices were excellent and the old choices were much improved! We will definitely be returning! And a shout out to Kelly, our server!

We went to Cabbage Key Inn for our anniversary and stayed at the Honeymoon Cottage. Wonderful little place with all the amenities you need for a great time. Quite romantic. We went during the week so there may have been only one other guest. You can rent kayaks or skiffs and visit some of the other little islands that surround Cabbage Key. Great spot for anniversary or honeymoon!

A beautiful historic retreat! Loved the lack of modernization and the focus on nature. Ospreys, snakes, tortoises and a Manatee Mom and pup visited us right beside our boat! Stayed in the marina with electric hookup. Very relaxing visit. Dockmaster Capt Joe was fabulous. Not only helping us in and out of the slips, but he also went way beyond the call of duty! We had the wrong power cord and Joe bought one while off duty so that we had it for our overnight. Super helpful in every way! We will finitely be back!!

Cabbage Key is one our favorite places to vacation or just dine. It’s become a family tradition. We’ve been bring our kids since that were toddlers and now they are 11 and 13. Make time to stay a few days in one of their cottages or just stop by for a burger in paradise. Please don’t think this is just a burger joint. They have so much to choose from and it’s all delicious! And the view is breath taking!

We are staying in the Dollhouse cottage, it could not be more perfect for a getaway! Everyone one is so nice…we are loving being able to truly relax! Seeing the manatees, wildlife, boats and the beautiful tropical island is like living in a paradise. The food at the Inn is some of the best we have had anywhere. Last night Cathy was our server. Although she said it was her first night, one could never tell. She was informative, personal and gave wonderful suggestions. She is a keeper!!! We look forward to coming back every year to this special island!
